I have been making utau covers for about 3 years. I originally used the traditional Windows UTAU program, but switched to OpenUtau due to it's MacOS compatibility. I mainly use Matsudappoiyo Light and Retake Edge, Keine Ron Soft, and Somarine Akuri VCV. I use WORLDLINE-R (controversial, I know). I can't get any other renders to work on my computer (Macbook). I use FL Studio's Trial Version to mix my covers. I don't make my own USTs, but I do all edits and tuning by hand (no TuneLab or other programs). I use a mixture of Vocaloid tuning techniques (splicing and dicing) and traditional UTAU pitch tuning. I love the velocity flag and it genuinely transforms a voicebank. I highly recommend using it for realistic and comprehensable tuning. I don't ship Matsudappoiyo with Akuri. Any ship-esque covers featuring the pair are divoriced from their canon designs and characteristics. I do ship Ronpoi though because it's fun and I'm a sucker for a childhood-friends-to-lovers trope. Sorry I don't post my covers anywhere else. I hate social medias and I feel like I need to put a lot of effort I don't have into a MV for a cover.
